I’d like to start this by saying that I am not one of those crazy pro-American people who think our government can do no wrong and everybody should be exactly like us. I have the same complaints as many others about the current state of affairs in our country. However, I think some people take hating the US a little too far. Sure we have our issues, but we could be a lot worse off. We could be one of those middle eastern cultures which still treat women like shit. We could be dealing with the horrifying violence in Syria. We could be stuck in Somalia where famine is caused more by the government than the drought. 

I guess what I’m saying is sure question the government, do whatever any one person can do to make a change. But don’t fail to appreciate what we do have.
